Lake Placid - the Pearl of the Adirondacks
Located in the north east part of the USA, close to the Canadian border and on a driving distance from NYC, Lake Placid is the undiscovered pearl of the Adirondack mountains. The fall paints the mountains with the most beautiful colours. It is the ideal time for hiking and observing nature. When the leaves start changing colors the coast of the Mirror lake becomes orange and gold. It is impossible to ignore the beauty of the mornings here at the village. Right before the morning spring and the fog go away the smoke of the morning coffee will make you realize that life can in fact be beautiful. Here you can touch the sky. You can literally touch the sky. The clouds come down to the lake and create instagrammable pictures. The hiking trails are well marked. There are many peaks. Some of them are easy, some of them are for more experienced hikers. Lake PLacid is also the home of Iron Man, the triathlon which attracts sportists from all around the country. The Main street is a home to many hotels and restaurants where the guests can enjoy coffee or lunch with a view. The view is for free. You only pay for lunch.
